Scott Woyka at the Houses of Parlament

Scott woyka have been very lucky to be selected to represent British furniture makers the Houses of Parliament in June.

'The object of the exhibition was to demonstrate to to members of Parliament the quality, craftsmanship, flair, and entrepreneurial skills of those making furniture in the UK. This has been necessary as a couple of years ago the then DTI [Department of Trade and Industry]removed "priority status" from the furniture industry thus preventing the industry from applying for structural funds. The governments current focus is on "the creative industries" hence the emphasis on 21st centuary design.'

I think it's amazing to see crafts people on the wharves working at such a high level. This is a real inspiration. I also think that we should be very proud of Scott and Andy.
