Falmouth Packet: Music festival for Falmouth

Initial plans have been unveiled for two days of music at Falmouth inAugust. Sponsors for the event will be A&P Falmouth who own the docks.A Redruth-based company backed by local entrepreneur, Rolf Munding,has applied for a licence to run the concerts over August bankholiday.If the application is successful there will be live music on bothFriday and Saturday, August 22 and 23 August, utilising the site whichwill later be the focus for the tall ships regatta.advertisementThe concerts will run from 3pm until 11pm and admission on both dayswill be by ticket only. Maximum capacity on the site is 6,000 on eachday.Although this is a new initiative, it is being co-ordinated by anexperienced team, led by project manager, Peter Mason, said aspokesperson. "Peter is a professional event manager with closeworking ties with Falmouth. He has headed up the organisation of thelast three Oyster Festivals."Peter said: "We're hoping these concerts will be one of the highlightsof the summer, attracting many local people as well as visitors fromfurther afield. We plan to put together a line-up which will cover awide spectrum of music, and behind the scenes the whole event will betightly managed. We're in discussion with the Eden Sessions and willbe using the same security services, health and safety procedures, andticketing arrangements."Obtaining the necessary permits is the first stage of the process.Once these are in place, we'll be making further announcements withregard to the detailed arrangements and the line-up of performers."

It's real joke that this guy would appear to be promoting music and creativity, yet on the other hand trying to force Troubador out of business. How can you take him seriously all he's interested in is getting his foot in the door to become the first developer at the docks. Where greed will take you huh?
